Crystal was born and raised in South Dakota. She has worked in residential setting with teenagers, 10 years with Child Protection Service for the State
of SD, 10 years at Children’s Home Society, placing older kids for adoptions, and currently works fulltime at the Sioux Falls VA Medical
Center helping Post 9/11 Veterans. She earned her MSW from the University of St. Catherines and University of St. Thomas, Saint Paul, MN.
She is a Certified Social Worker in Private or Independent Practice (CSW-PIP). Crystal’s joy is working with kids using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
(CBT), Play Therapy, Strengths Based Therapy and Family Therapy. Outside of the office, Crystal enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Crystal loves to travel, scrapbook, and taking care of her grandson. She believes that children are capable of positive and healthy growth when the
proper conditions are provided. She welcomes a caring, warm and accepting environment where children can express and play through their
issues or concerns in a therapeutic manner. This approach is based on establishing trust through a warm and friendly rapport and acceptance of
the child. She looks forward to working with children of all ages and their life issues that may be causing them stress.
