Nicky (Nykell) is a licensed certified social worker, licensed addiction counselor, qualified mental health professional, and a private and independent practice supervisee.

She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a focus on criminal justice from South Dakota State University, and her Master of Social Work degree with a focus on addiction counseling from the University of South Dakota.

She has joined the Integrate Care and Consultation team and has over 6 years of experience working in community mental health. Her work experiences include working with individuals living with severe mental illness, substance use disorders, victims of domestic violence, and perpetrators of domestic violence. She is intensively trained in
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, as well as various other group therapy modalities.

Nicky is passionate about helping others create a life that feels good and is worth living. She uses CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and strength-based approaches in her individual sessions. She is currently taking patients and is looking forward to meeting with you!
